Vision & Mission
Bridging timeless Vedic wisdom with the ambitions and challenges of modern youth.
The Foundations of ISKCON
Incorporated in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) holds a profound vision to spiritualize global society. Srila Prabhupada outlined seven core purposes that direct all our global activities, promoting peace, unity, and genuine spiritual progression.
Seven Purposes of ISKCON
Systematic Spiritual Education
To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all people in the techniques of spiritual life in order to achieve real unity and peace in the world.
Krishna Consciousness
To propagate a consciousness of Krishna, as it is revealed in the great scriptures of India, Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-bhagavatam.
Transcendental Brotherhood
To bring the members of the Society together with each other and nearer to Krishna, the prime entity, thus developing the idea within the members, and humanity at large, that each soul is part and parcel of the quality of Godhead.
The Sankirtan Movement
To teach and encourage the sankirtan movement, congregational chanting of the holy name of God, as revealed in the teachings of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Holy Places of Pastimes
To erect for the members and for society at large a holy place of transcendental pastimes dedicated to the personality of Krishna.
Natural & Simple Living
To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler, more natural way of life.
Publishing & Distribution
With a view to achieving the aforementioned purposes, to publish and distribute periodicals, books and other writings.
ISKCON Youth Forum (IYF) Vision
The youth wing of ISKCON South Bangalore focuses on translating these foundational principles into practical action for the next generation. Our vision is to elevate, support, and transform young lives to face modern challenges with spiritual vigor.
Character & Integrity
Building character and values in young minds through active mentorship and Vedic principles. We nurture qualities like truthfulness, self-discipline, compassion, and clean habits to create leaders of tomorrow.
Stress & Mind Management
Equipping students and working professionals with time-tested spiritual practices like mantra meditation and Gita study to combat depression, anxiety, screen addiction, and academic/career pressure.
Purpose-Driven Careers
Inspiring youth to excel in their chosen fields while maintaining a higher spiritual center. We believe that career success becomes perfect when it is offered in a spirit of seva (selfless service).
Elevated Community (Sangha)
Creating a clean, vibrant, and fun-loving spiritual community where youth can form lifelong friendships, participate in musical kirtans, cook and eat healthy prasadam, and volunteer for social good.
"Modern civilization has polished the body but neglected the soul. The ISKCON Youth Forum aims to provide that missing spiritual link, giving youth the inner strength to navigate life's storms with grace and clarity."
